I recently read the following article “Shire tops suburbs with lowest crime” which has prompted me to present the NSW Crime Statistics for December 2011 (latest period reported) in a “visualisation” – designed to spark interest and provide insights that can then lead a user through further investigation and analysis.
If a picture tells a thousand words, then this visualization is worth close to 500,000 words and perhaps more interesting than a page of numbers?
